Project Overview

Donna Gaines, a sociologist, journalist, and New York State Master Licensed Social Worker, needed an online presence to promote her book, “Why the Ramones Matter” (University of Texas Press). Growing up in Rockaway Beach, Queens, a surf town made famous by the Ramones, Donna’s work is deeply rooted in the culture and ethos of punk rock.
