About the Firm
Lorton Stone, LLC is one of the Mid-Atlantic's premier masonry and stone restoration contractors, and its work is quite literally part of the American landscape. The firm's craftsmen have restored the Washington National Cathedral's South Transept, built the Korean War Memorial Wall of Remembrance, repaired the Washington Monument after the 2011 Virginia earthquake, and completed projects for the Architect of the Capitol, the Smithsonian Institution, the National Park Service, the General Services Administration, and the Department of Defense. That body of work has earned a shelf of honors, including the 2025 Grande Pinnacle Award from the Natural Stone Institute and multiple Washington Building Congress Craftsmanship Awards.

Our Approach
Custom WordPress Theme:
We built a custom WordPress theme with the composure the firm's work deserves: a restrained federal palette, generous photography of carved capitals and monument stonework, and clean page structures for projects, news, and awards. No page builders, no bloat, just a fast institutional site that looks at home next to the landmarks it describes.
Project Portfolio & Interactive Map:
The heart of the site is the project portfolio, including an interactive map of Lorton Stone's federal, civic, and institutional work across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Visitors can filter by service type, explore individual landmarks, and see at a glance how much of the capital region carries the firm's fingerprints.
News & Awards Program:
The site carries an active news section covering award wins, project milestones, and anniversary stories, content we research and write so the firm's public record stays as current as its job sites.
Ongoing Social Media Management:
RT7 manages Lorton Stone's social channels on an ongoing basis. We plan the monthly calendar, write and design every post, and publish to Instagram and LinkedIn, turning field photos of monument restoration into content that consistently earns strong engagement. We even built a custom photo intake tool so crews in the field can send project shots straight to our content team from their phones.
Hosting & Care:
The site runs on RT7's own managed infrastructure with nightly offsite backups, security hardening, edge caching, and same-day support, so a firm focused on hundred-year stonework never has to think about uptime.
